Mawatrix Privacy Policy
This policy applies to the Mawatrix iPhone app and its support pages. It explains what information Mawatrix collects, why it is needed, who receives it, how long it is kept, and the choices available to you.
1. Who is responsible
Mawatrix operates from the Kingdom of Bahrain. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to mawatrix.bh@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect

Events may be linked to your account when signed in; guest activity is not assigned an account ID. |

| Notification token | If notifications are introduced and you enable them, an Apple push token and platform type are stored so requested alerts can reach your device. The token is removed when it is no longer needed or your account is deleted. |
3. Public listings and external contact
A published listing is public, including to guests. Its seller name, phone number, photos, description, city, price, and vehicle or plate information can be viewed, copied, or shared by other people. Do not publish information you want to keep private. Email addresses and purchase history are not shown publicly.
When you choose Call or WhatsApp, iOS opens the relevant external service. Mawatrix may record that the contact control was used, but does not receive the content of the call or WhatsApp conversation. The external service’s privacy terms apply after it opens.
4. AI, translation, and automated assistance
Mawatrix uses Google Gemini for optional assistant answers, listing drafts, and translations. Before the first AI request, the app identifies Google as the recipient and asks for explicit permission. You can decline and still browse, search, publish, and contact sellers without AI.
- The text you submit and only the public listing context needed for the request are sent to Google.
- Do not enter passwords, identity documents, financial details, or other sensitive information in an AI prompt.
- Mawatrix does not store the assistant conversation transcript in its database. The app may keep the current chat on your device until its daily reset, while account usage counters remain on the server.
- Google processes requests under the Gemini API terms and privacy practices. Provider handling can include operational logging and abuse monitoring.
- AI translations and suggestions can be incomplete or wrong. The original seller text remains authoritative, and users must review generated listing content before publishing or acting on it.
5. Service providers and disclosure
Information is shared only as needed to operate the requested feature:
- Supabase provides authentication, database, server functions, and photo storage. Supabase privacy

These providers may process information outside Bahrain under their own infrastructure and legal obligations. Mawatrix can also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect a person from harm, investigate fraud, or defend legal rights.
6. Retention
- Active account data remains while the account is open.
- Listings normally stop appearing after their 30-day expiry unless extended by a purchased placement. Deleted listings and their stored photos are removed from active systems.
- AI conversation text is not stored as a Mawatrix server-side transcript; daily/lifetime usage and coin counters remain while the account exists.
- Interaction and price history remains while needed for listing history, seller analytics, integrity, and fraud prevention, and is deleted with the related listing or anonymized when no account link is needed.
- Purchase, refund, moderation, and fraud-prevention records may be retained after account deletion for the minimum period needed for accounting, App Store disputes, safety, abuse prevention, or legal obligations. Direct account identifiers are removed or replaced where they are no longer required.
- Encrypted backups can retain deleted records until the hosting provider’s routine backup rotation completes; the records are not returned to normal use.
7. Your privacy choices and account deletion
- Edit or remove a listing from My listings.
- Turn off a saved alert or notification in the app or in iOS Settings.
- Decline AI permission; no AI request is sent until permission is given.
- Request access to or correction of account information by email.
- Delete the account in Profile → Account management → Delete account.
Account deletion removes authentication credentials, profile and contact data, listings and stored photos, favourites, saved searches and device tokens, AI usage counters, and referral links from active systems. Records that must remain for purchases, refunds, moderation, fraud prevention, or law are minimized and de-identified where possible as described above.
If you cannot access the app, email mawatrix.bh@gmail.com from the registered address. We may verify the request before acting and will explain any information that must legally be retained.
8. Security
Mawatrix uses encrypted HTTPS transport, account-scoped database controls, verified purchase receipts, and restricted administrative access. No service is perfectly secure. Protect your sign-in method and report suspected account misuse promptly.
9. Children
Mawatrix is not directed to children. Anyone publishing a listing, buying a digital benefit, or arranging a vehicle transaction must have the legal capacity to do so or act with a parent or legal guardian. Contact us if you believe a child supplied personal information without appropriate consent.
10. Changes
Material changes will update the date above and, when appropriate, be communicated in the app. A new use of personal information or a new AI data recipient will require the notice or consent applicable at that time.
Community rules
Listings must be genuine, lawful, accurate, and safe. Fraud, stolen items, harassment, prohibited content, duplicate spam, manipulated engagement, and disclosure of another person’s private information are not allowed. Terms
